Very good, delicious German-style food in a cozy atmosphere. The longer waiting time was not noticed with the right friends and thanks to the unusually attentive service.

Actually, we wanted to eat something quickly on the way through ... but it doesn't seem to work quickly here. So we waited almost 90 minutes for our food. That seems normal, however. Which is not entirely understandable. In any case, it is not fresh from the preparation. The taste of the food is okay, but nothing special either. But a bit more expensive.

Visit in August 2020 Due to the good reviews and the recommendation of Kirsten Ranf, published in the book Lüneburg und die Heide, we went to the Waldklause. Unfortunately we were disappointed. A mixture of herbs was sprinkled over the entire meal, over the salad, the noodles (spaetzle), sauce and also the meat. It tasted completely like the herbal mixture. The rump steak was ordered medium, was well done (grilled) and was therefore dry and hard. The fillet pieces (3 different types of meat) were also dry at the second meal. Too bad. Back in our holiday accommodation, we shared our experience with our hosts. They had also recently had the same experience. Isn't Mr. Vick the cook anymore? Unfortunately no recommendation from us.

Even if it is the day with most of the guests, we were able to secure a nice table in the fresh air. The staff is polite and quick to go. There were no unusual waiting times, you didn't really notice that it was busy. Drinks and food were taken and the drinks were there quickly. The starter was also there. Tomato soup with a dash of gin 😎. Delicious. The main course, turkey pan and grill plate, was as described and requested. The amount was good and matched the price. All in all we were very satisfied. We'd love to go back here.

Had a nice seat by the tracks and the food was good. Unfortunately, the two service employees seemed a bit unfriendly. Therefore only 3 stars as an overall package.

We were the first guests, so our food came very quickly. My grill plate was a bit oversized, but the meat was a bit dry. As a vegetarian, however, it is difficult to find something on the menu. But the baked potato was kindly switched from chicken to mushrooms.

Actually really nice - great location and delicious. But we went to eat there three times and waited for the food for over 90 minutes each time. Shot down the bird today with a waiting time of 2 hours. Unfortunately we will not be able to go there anymore because we are afraid to starve ...

Delicious food, but takes a very long time! We also stayed one night in the apartment and the next morning we were asked rudely why we would have used 4 beds even though we were only two. Although we didn't even use 4 beds, the landlords said she was angry about it and that she had to double the price now ... We had exchanged a blanket because the blankets were very, very hard! It's a pity!

Beautiful location with friendly staff. Exciting food as well as traditional choices. We made a lunch break while traveling on the 7. Absolute worth the detour.
